Gautam Adani is ranked the second richest person in India this year. His net worth in 2020 is $25.2 billion compared to $15.7 billion last year. Gautam Adani, chairman of Adani Group,
saw 60.5% increase in net worth this year. He is the second richest person in India for the second consecutive year.

Shiv Nadar is the third richest Indian. He is the founder and chairman of HCL Technologies. Nadar’s net worth is $20.4 billion this year compared to $14.4 billion last year. The software services giant saw an increase of 41.6% this year. Nadar was placed sixth in the list of the richest Indians last year.

R Damani, an investor and founder of Dmart, is ranked fourth this year with a networth of $15.4 billion. He was the sixth richest Indian last year with a network of $14.3 billion. Hinduja brothers with a cumulative wealth of $12.8 are ranked fifth richest in India. The net worth of Hinduja brothers has dropped by 17.9% this year.

Cyrus Poonawala is ranked the sixth richest Indian this year with a wealth of $11.5 billion. Poonawala is known as the “Vaccine king of India.” He is the chairman of the Serum Institute of India, a company that manufactures paediatric vaccines. The institute is the world’s largest vaccine maker by doses. The company known for its vaccines for measles, polio, and flu etc. is also working on the Covid-19 vaccine. Poonawala was ranked twelfth richest Indian last year with $9.1 billion.

Pallonji Mistry is the seventh on the list. Pallonji is the chairman of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group. Pallonji is 91 years old and the richest Irish person currently. The Indian born is also the largest Individual shareholder at India’s largest private conglomerate, Tata Group. Pallonji has a net worth of $11.4 billion this year, compared to $15 billion last year. His net worth has diminished by 24% this year.

Uday Kotak, Godrej family & Lakshmi Mittal take the eight, ninth and tenth spots with a net worth of $11.3 billion, $11 billion & $10.3 billion respectively. They were also among the top 10 richest Indians last year as well.

Raveendran has seen his wealth surge during the pandemic owing to the increasing adoption of online platforms and apps for learning. Byju app has gained popularity in India.
